2. Remove Emails By Specific Sender or a Date Range
Gmail also allows you to target specific emails so, for example, if you want to receive only emails from a particular sender or emails received in a specific time frame, search filters can be used.
- To delete emails from a particular sender use the search term: from:sender_email_address.
- For deleting emails sent to a specific address, you use: to:receiver_email_address.
- To delete emails within a certain date range, do: after:YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. after:2023-01-01).
After you’ve inserted the right query, choose all the emails that are displayed and delete them by clicking the trash can icon.
3. Recover Deleted Emails
Deleting an email by mistake can sometimes happen. The good thing is that Gmail retains deleted emails in the Trash folder for 30 days. Recovering any emails you may need.
- Open the Trash folder.
- You can find the email you want to restore, move it back to your inbox or another folder.
This feature ensures that emails are not lost forever and can be retrieved with 30 days.
